Throughout his career, António has held senior executive and board-level positions with leading international aviation organizations including SATA Airlines Group, TAP Air Portugal, EuroAtlantic Airways, PrivatAir, Nieuport Aviation Infrastructure Partners, and Eliance. He previously served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SATA Airlines Group, where he led one of Portugal’s most historic aviation organizations through a period of fleet modernization, network expansion, digital transformation, and sustained profitability. In addition to his aviation leadership roles, António has built a distinguished academic career as a Professor of Economics at the University of the Azores and has taught and conducted research at institutions including Boston College, Harvard University, and Bocconi University.
