During the Internet 1.0 revolution, he spent eight years serving as a trusted commercial and policy advisor to a wide range of United Kingdom government offices and agencies. He initially served as Vice Consul Trade and Investment and Senior Technology Sector Specialist, helping foster technology partnerships and investment opportunities between international markets. He later relocated to London to establish and lead the role of Director of Emerging Technologies within the Office of the e-Envoy in Prime Minister Tony Blair’s Cabinet Office, where he worked on initiatives designed to accelerate technology adoption and digital transformation across government and industry.
