Mike is a seasoned operating aviation and airport handling executive with a proven track record of driving large-scale operational performance, margin expansion, and strategic growth within complex, labor-intensive service environments. Currently COO at Swissport, he oversees a multi-site platform spanning 60+ locations and more than 12,000 employees, with full P&L responsibility across a diversified services portfolio.

He has consistently executed value creation strategies at scale, including rapid network expansion and commercial growth initiatives. Most notably, he has led the launch of over 20 major contracts within a compressed time frame, accelerating revenue growth and strengthening market position.  Concurrently, he has improved core operating metrics—such as on-time performance, safety outcomes, and customer satisfaction - through the implementation of standardized, performance-driven operating models.

A key strength is his ability to unlock operational leverage through technology and process innovation. He has deployed automation platforms, AI-enabled safety systems, and advanced customer processing tools that have reduced operating costs, improved asset utilization, and significantly lowered error rates in critical workflows. These initiatives have driven measurable improvements in productivity, safety performance, and service reliability.

He brings deep expertise in managing large, unionized workforces and operating within highly regulated environments across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. He has demonstrated success in scaling organizations through disciplined talent strategies, leadership development, and operational alignment, while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles across operations, customer experience, and inflight services, managing teams of up to 6,000 employees and overseeing multi-hundred-million-dollar operating plans. He drove meaningful improvements in customer experience, reduced service failures, and implemented operational controls that enhanced both cost efficiency and revenue optimization.
